Name: Kar Age: 5 Years Herd: auditioning to make Xenos Rank: auditioning for Lead Stallion Gender: Stallion ----- Breed: Arabian / Thoroughbred Eye color: Very light brown Fur color: Seal Brown Markings: None Height: 14 ½ Hands
Personality: Kar was born and bred to race. Nothing pleases him more than running, out among the open plains, the physical exertion washing away his problems. Like most of his species, he is smaller than your average horse, but then, his stamina is so great that he can outdistance most any enemy. Even so, he is fiercely loyal, and would not dare leave his herd behind. Prideful and arrogant, he is infamous for his sharp tongue and even sharper temper. Beware, for the horse who dares injure his massive ego is in for a beating. Yet, despite this, he has a very straightforward outlook on life. He has no time for lies or trickery, and any who can best him in a fair fight has his extreme respect.
Limitations: He’s rather on the short side, physically, and his savage temper often gets the best of him. Though, he's not disabled in any way.
Family: Sire: Czar (Purebred Thoroughbred) Dam: Allegra (Purebred Arabian)
History: Kar’s mother was an Arabian. Graceful, light-footed, delicate, and yet, so, so willful. She was a racer, a cross-country creature, bred for her incredible stamina. Yet, that same grit which made her valuable to her masters also caused her to rebel against them. She resented her captivity, and inevitably, she escaped. His father was a Thoroughbred. Fast, powerful, and stubborn as heck. He had been born wild, and was the current leader of a herd. As most stallions did, he enjoyed the company of mares, and in no time at all she was accepted into his little band. It was only natural that she gave birth to a colt a year later.
Now, Kar’s father was not a mean stallion. He did everything that he could to watch over his young son. And yet, the colt’s stubborn, hot-headed personality often got him into trouble. He’d pick on horses younger than him, annoy horses older than him, wander off on his own, getting into all sorts of danger... He was just plain bothersome. So, when Kar was nearly two years old, he was kicked out of his herd. Just like that. He hung around for a while longer, refusing to be driven off. Though, after he tried (and failed) to steal one of his father’s mares, he was gone for good. He wandered for a while, as a part of a small bachelor herd, before settling down on a broad expanse of plains near the edge of the Wild Lands. He and his friends remained there, snatching up any mares who happened to drift by. Occasionally, they’d attempt to steal a mare from a neighboring herd, but for the most part they left well enough alone. As the months grew to years, the band slowly grew, until it was large enough to be considered a herd, good and proper.
