Personality: Gunner is a gentle giant. He is a great trail horse and does not hesitate to enter water. He is silently confident in everything that he does and never questions his owner, Colt. He likes to "test" new riders to see if they really mean business. Gunner has a tendency to take advantage of riders that are not very experienced by giving them a rough time. Gunner would be a great family horse. He doesn't bite or kick but, he can be difficult to catch from a pasture. He has a sense of humor and likes to play jokes on Colt and others. Some could say that Gunner is a workaholic because he loves to be ridden and he loves to do work. He's up for just about anything his experienced rider wants to do. He gets along well with other horses and doesn't like to be isolated from them. He can be a little mannish sometimes. He can be cocky and macho especially when he trips or makes a mistake. He tends to pretend like they didn't happen. He detests going to the vet

History: Colt bought Gunner when he was only a 2 year old. Colt had trained him himself by reading training books and researching online. Gunner was well socialized with other horses and learned how to live with them at an early age. When Colt first got Gunner he was a little under weight but other than that he was healthy. At the beginning of his training he was a bit of a handful for Colt because he was so young and full of energy. He is still young and full of energy now but, back then he was all of that and stupid. He was reckless and thought that he knew better than Colt which of course, he figured out was not the case. Gunner has been around the competition ring a few times and is comfortable with the crowds and moving from here to there for different things. Gunner was trained to be a jumper and because of his height and natural talent was exceptional at it. He's not the best but is working towards it.
