History: Chase was a very successful race horse in his day, but he was retired do to a tendon injury. Although the horse was suspected to make a full recovery, he was simply nearing the age of which they were going to retire him anyway. After being nursed back to health, his owners decided to let him run one last race before sending him out to auction. His owners were sad to see him go, but they knew they had to make room for their next champion. Once settled into his new home, Chase soon found that the people who then owned him were nothing like his last owners. They believed in forceful methods and were very abusive, they force bred him and made lots of money off his foals. But when a young woman brought her horse to the owners to be bred, she saw the bad conditions he was kept in and called the humane society. That was when he was taken from his abusive owners and given to a nearby rescue where he started on his road to recovery. At first no one could get near him, and he had gone from being a loving horse, to one who feared almost anything. But slowly he started to come around, but it wasn't until Andrew started working there that the horse had made a complete turn for the better. Andrew saw Chase and immediately became drawn to him, and they started to form a bond. After a few months of the two working together he started to become much friendlier and a lot more trusting. But he was still skittish without the boy by his side. Eventually, Andrew had convinced his parents to buy the stallion, and the horse has been with him ever since, seeming to make more and more progress each day as he has almost fully recovered, although his past still haunts him and he is very sensitive to others actions.
