Name: madison lynn roberts Age: 20 Gender: female ----- Eye color: light blue Hair color: brown Skin color: lightly tanned Height: 5'4 Weight: 112 lbs
Personality: maddie is quite the character, and she is just very unique in her own little ways. she is bubbly, energetic, crazy and just always enjoyable to be around. she isn't the most miserable person to be around only some people believe in this. maddie is just very loud and out there. she enjoys partying, drinking and on occasion doing drugs. she's quite the rebellious person but always one who is trustworthy and who would have anyone's back. madie's very generous and for as far as her father needs to know, he's raised her right from wrong and she is like an innocent angel.
depression runs through her family, though its rare in her luckily. she is very well at hiding her emotions and lying is one of her strongest things. well lying might be the wrong word, but hiding the truth? maddie is very secretive though even the closest people around her can't tell when she's hiding any type of emotion, or if she has any other emotion except for the bubbly little maddie that she is. she likes to try and keep everyone around her happy, so she believes that as long as she is happy that the feeling might be contagious, though at times her quirky attitude does fade into the darker side of her.
so she does for sure have a temper. she has a temper that is unexpected and usually comes out of no where. she often looses her temper when she has been let down, or refused or disapproved by someone. she has been known for fist fighting, especially with other girls, but she has been in a few fights with guys because they treated her like crap. its rare for her to loose her temper sober, though on occasion it does happen. and she isn't the type that is a aggressive drunk, she just has patients that are shorter than normal. also, she gets very territorial. With that being said, anyone who messes with her sister, her horse or any of her friends, or 'more than friends' friends she will be on the rage to kill whoever got in her way.
Limitations: maddie has many fears that limit her to her daily life, such as showjumping. she still has the heart for it, but from the tragic accident, she just can't bring herself to do it again, though has hopes that one day she'll come out of her shell. another limitation is that she has a huge fear of a committed relationship. she's never been in one, only having experiences with flings or one night stands. and because she doesn't have much of a back bone she fears that one day she will fall in love with the wrong person and she wouldn't be able to stand up for what she believes is right and wrong, and perhaps everything just gets worse from there.
Family: Jamie May Paterson - mother - 46 - deceased Adam Wade Roberts - father - 48 - grand prix show jumper
History: Well, Maddie has had a pretty easy life. She's been riding before she could walk. She knows her way around horses better than anything else she does on free time. And she's just always had a horse in her life. Competing has become a job, as she has become so well that she is competing with older women and in very high class classes. Although horses have masked many of her problems especially with her family, she does still have her moments in life that have just never left. Such as when she first started drinking, her school years, that are slowly dieing away as she finds skipping classes much more fun, she also has memories of all the women that her father has brought home, and when her hatred towards her dad started to shine through, even though he is still oblivious to everything.
Of course it all started when she was born, her mother was never around and she grew a strong hatred for her. Maddie hated her so much that whenever her father would bring her up, Maddie would just have a temper break down. Again, not that he knew about. She was always real good at hiding things, since the day she was born and its a trait she loves, those around her that suspect something is wrong, hate it because she can manipulate their feelings so well. She started riding young, and at first tried jumping and she jumped horses until she was seven, but one day her horse wiped out in a show jumping competition and had to be put down right there in the arena, in front of everyone. She broke her right ankle and she tore cartilage in her knee. Ever since that day she gave up show jumping and decided that she would pick up the pace with more flat work and lean more towards reining.
Her competition died to a more steady confident area. Maddie took up riding flat classes on a variety of other peoples horses, never finding the strength to own one of her own. She then started up lessons with a professional reiner instructor and began to learn the technique for reining. Everything came pretty easy and it went smoothly. Finally about two years ago, Maddie was able to purchase her first horse since her accident.
Now the disagreement with her father. This started when she was twelve when her dad tried pressuring her back in show jumping. She refused continuously and he kept pushing it on her. Eventually she had a huge blow up and moved in with her aunt and uncle for six and half months before she moved back in with her dad when her aunt passed away. Now she still holds a little grudge on her dad but she refuses for him to see it. Whenever its brought up she calls that it was an immaturity thing and that they were fine and that nothing was bothering her. Though with his alcoholic habits it bothers her deeply, and she just rebels, hoping that one day he'll find out and that he'll feel the same way she feels when he comes up drunk late at night.
More in the present, Maddie has moved out from her fathers house and decided to go to North America. She went there because she wanted to experience more of the western riding world, and found that Alberta, Canada would be just the place to get to know western riding. She realized as much as she loved England, it didn't supply everything she wanted, but she brought a little bit of England with her. She brought her heavy english accent, and of course all the memories but she's looking forward to the new life in Oaks Down.
