Zaafir Zaafir clambered up one of the many rocks that he had known so well since his days as a young colt. He snorted and whinnied loudly, and stomped his left hoof on the smooth surface of the grey stone. He loved the way his hooves sounded as they clanked against the stone. He turned his head and watched his heard grazing amongst the rocks to his left. He was glad to see they were safe once more. He had smelt two-leggeds around their home recently and that made him on edge. He couldn't trust those two-leggeds. He saw that the rode horses, used them for their own personal gain. He knew that many of those horses were once as wild as he. And he refused for any member of his heard to be captured and used in such a way.
With another snort, Zaafir leaped from the rock to another. His hooves slid against the smooth surface as he landed. He looked around once more, checking the area. This rock had given him a better vantage point than before. He shunned once mores and the whole herd bellow him returned it in a chorus of calls. Satisfied, Zaafir clambered off the rock and made his way down to his heard. Where he stood and grazed amongst the . He saw the black coats of his parents, the three of them always stuck out amongst the others. He believed he had made his parents proud. He lowered his head and began to graze happily, munching on the green grass.
